About
Casa LaLoba. Born from my humble wish to create supportive spaces for mothers to move from exhaustion to supported expansion, honoring the wildness of motherhood, the adventures we love while carving out the restorative stillness we deserve.
'Casa LaLoba was born from the heart of Ania—a mother, a biologist, and an adventurer. With a deep love of yoga and a soul rooted in the earth, she has curated Casa LaLoba as a sanctuary for those who believe that life’s greatest beauty lies in its balance- in the bridge between the tasks of motherhood and a yoga mat.'

Becoming a mother in 2018 I spent those first beautifully fragile years of motherhood living off-grid in the heart of Portugal, raising my little ones mostly as a solo mama- navigating the magical, rugged terrain of "the simple life." But I quickly learned that even in paradise, motherhood can be an island. I know the exhaustion of a holiday that feels like more work, and the "human A-frame" reality of trying to find a flow while children climb your downward dog.
In the myth of La Loba, life is gathered from the bones of the past. Casa LaLoba is my song built on the belief that we are many things at once.
I feel called to bridge the gap between the adventure we crave and the grounding we need. I want to support women through the sacred rite of passage that is Motherhood—not by offering "the perfect holiday retreat," but by creating space for sisterhood, silence, rest and nourishing movement amidst the fun laughter and chaos and being climbed by our dear wildlings!

Our Childcare

Childcare will be managed by our dear Charley, who is not only an experienced childcarer, but is a dear friend, the Godmother to my son and just an incredible human with a huge heart and an infectious laugh. My children adore her and I have no doubt yours will too. Charley will sit down with each mama individually on the first day of our retreat to discuss your child needs, from how they like to be comforted, any supportive emotional strategies that work well for them, their swimming ability and any interests they may have. Charley will be supported by another experienced childcarer and together they will guide play centered activities for the children along with some creative art and crafting, baking and pizza making!
The focus is for the day to be mainly child led, allowing children to also be able to let go and flow with the spirit of summer holidays.
Both Childcarers are DBS checked and First Aid certified.
Our Retreat Food
Food is one of the most important parts of a holiday! We want everybody to have the opportunity to eat delicious healthy food that ticks all the palate boxes and satisfy all. We will be mainly plant based, but there will be meaty options available for those who's body types require this. We will have a BBQ at least one evening and both veggie and meat hot dogs will be available. Food will be locally sourced and organic when possible. We know most children are huge fans of potatoes and pasta so there will be lovely wholesome baked potatoes, French fries and wholesome pastas alongside light and zesty greens, raw salads and veggies. If children are going through a beige food phase - we got this. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any specific dietary requirements. Click the button below
